  • Yes, almost every activity in Asheville is family-friendly. The Biltmore Estate has a farm, children's maze, and horseback riding that the whole family will love. Go tubing, rafting or kayaking on the Broad French River. Kids of all ages will love Fun Depot, featuring laser tag, go-karts, mini golf, bumper cars, and a climbing wall. Sliding Rock at Pisgah National Forest is popular for big kids and adults who want to slide down the 60-foot flat, sloping boulder into eight-foot deep chilly waters.

  • Discover unparalleled views from the Blue Ridge Parkway, which spans 469 miles from Virginia to North Carolina. There are 6 entrances to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville, with the closest being just 3 miles away at mm 393.6 NC Arboretum.

In the springtime, visit Asheville for Beer Week and Mountain Sports Festival. During the summer months, make your way to Mountain Dance and Folk Festival and Asheville Wine & Food Festival. Come September and October, Brewgrass and Leaf Festival are the hottest tickets in town. Then just when you thought you had winter blues, the Winter Warmer Beer Fest can surely warm you up.

  • Yes, Asheville is a very dog-friendly city, and our hotel is 100% welcoming of your four-legged friends. From mountain trails to grassy parks, Asheville has your pooch covered. The majority of the local breweries and cafes are pet-friendly, like Asheville Brewing Company, so feel free to bring your pet along as you sightsee. Azalea Dog Park has two separate leash-off zones for dogs to let loose. Bent Creek is a perfect place for your dog to join you on a hike amongst waterfalls.



  • Biltmore Estate is open 365 days a year and hours vary each season, but primarily they are open 9 AM to 5 PM daily. The Reception and Ticketing Center is open daily 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The estate is 8.5 miles from our all-suite hotel, and we offer special packages and discounted tickets right here at our front desk.

  • Downtown Asheville is 7 miles northeast from Comfort Suites Outlet Center. The fastest route is to take I-26 W to Patton Ave. It's just a 10-minute drive to this vibrant hub featuring more than 100 restaurants, 30 galleries, 10 breweries, and a wide variety of seasonal events.

  • To escape the summer heat, head to refreshing swimming holes and splash pads like Splasheville in Pack Square Park. Asheville's own French Broad River is the perfect place to cool off with swimming, kayaking, tubing, and paddle boarding at your disposal. There are also many breweries to explore featuring refreshing craft beers that will quench your thirst. The fall offers scenic vistas at every bend with a ride down the Blue Ridge Parkway being the top contender. Go apple and pumpkin picking with the family, or simply head to the breweries for fresh, crisp cider beer.

A wine vineyard tour is also a perfect way to welcome spring in Asheville.
